Handling at Ibiza (LEIB)
We handle overflight permits, slots, flight plans, fuel, customs and the turnaround at Ibiza. One coordinator owns the stop at Ibiza, from the first filing to wheels up.

The field
What LEIB is actually like
Ibiza is a small airport that receives a very large amount of business aviation for roughly four months a year. The infrastructure is sized for the island, not for the traffic that arrives in August, and every operational decision in the summer follows from that.
Operating brief
What we handle before you file
Permits
Spanish EU rules, identical to the mainland. Nothing about Ibiza adds a permit requirement; everything about it adds a parking requirement.
Slots and parking
Slot coordinated in season. Parking is the constraint that actually decides trips here. The apron fills, and drop-and-go with a repositioning leg to Palma or the mainland is a normal summer outcome rather than a failure.
Customs and border
Anything from outside Schengen clears on the field, but summer staffing is thin against summer demand. The notice period is not the formality here that it is in Madrid.
When it gets tight
Mid-June to mid-September, with August as a category of its own. Weekend arrivals and Monday departures are the sharpest points in the week.
On the ground
Off the aircraft and into the car
Everything on the ground compresses in August. Handling is competent but working flat out, transfers to the north of the island run long, and the villa the passengers booked is further from the airport than the map suggests. Build in more time than seems reasonable.
Alternates
Where we go when LEIB will not take the trip
Every one of these is a field we would put to you with the reason attached, not a list of nearby runways.
- LEPA
Palma de Mallorca
The usual repositioning destination for aircraft that cannot stay on the island.
- LEAL
Alicante
Short hop to the mainland with far more apron, and a common overnight base.
- LEVC
Valencia
Slightly further but reliably available, including at the peak of the season.
