CAAC · China
China overflight and landing permits.
Operating privately into mainland China is a paperwork exercise before it is a flying one. The CAAC wants every detail of the aircraft, crew, passengers and route fixed in advance, and it wants them early.

LEAD TIME
Among the longest we deal with, comparable to Saudi Arabia. Build it into the trip from the first conversation rather than treating it as a task to start once the dates are set.
How this compares to the other jurisdictions →What CAAC asks for
The document pack
- 01Aircraft documents in full, including airworthiness and insurance covering Chinese airspace.
- 02Crew licences, medicals and passport details.
- 03Passenger manifest with passport details, fixed in advance.
- 04Confirmed slots, parking and ground handling at each Chinese stop.
- 05Chinese visas for crew and passengers, in hand before departure.
WHAT CATCHES PEOPLE OUT
There is no arrival processing to fall back on. A visa that has not been issued before departure is not a delay, it is a passenger who cannot travel, and this is the most common reason a China trip does not happen.
We file it, not you
Send the route and the tail number. We work out which permits it needs, file each one, and track it to a permit number rather than a submission receipt.
