Handling at Oslo (ENGM)
We handle overflight permits, slots, flight plans, fuel, customs and the turnaround at Oslo Gardermoen. One coordinator owns the stop at Oslo, from the first filing to wheels up.

The field
What ENGM is actually like
Oslo's main airport is the gateway to Norway and the Arctic routings north of it. It is well equipped, rarely congested, and used to handling business aviation in demanding winter conditions.
Operating brief
What we handle before you file
Permits
Norway is not in the EU but is in the EEA and Schengen, so European private flights are treated much as they are inside the union. The Norwegian CAA is the authority for anything that needs one.
Slots and parking
Coordinated but comfortable. Winter operations rather than slot availability are what shape a Gardermoen plan. De-icing sequencing and holdover time drive the departure, not the allocation.
Customs and border
Norway sits inside Schengen but outside the EU customs union. Passengers move freely; goods, catering and spares are imports, and operators who assume otherwise find out on the ramp. The practical effect is that a catering uplift loaded in Copenhagen and carried north is treated as an import when it lands, which surprises crews who have flown the same trip inside the EU all year.
When it gets tight
The winter season and the Easter mountain holiday. De-icing capacity is the binding constraint from November through March, not apron space.
On the ground
Off the aircraft and into the car
Forty-five minutes by road or twenty on the express train, and in January the train is the safer assumption. Handling is competent at winter operations in a way southern European fields are not, which is the whole point of flying here in February.
Alternates
Where we go when ENGM will not take the trip
Every one of these is a field we would put to you with the reason attached, not a list of nearby runways.
- ENTO
Sandefjord Torp
Ninety minutes south of Oslo, quiet and capable.
- ENBR
Bergen Flesland
The west coast, and the only sensible arrival for the fjords.
- ENVA
Trondheim Værnes
Central Norway, and a useful staging point for Arctic routings.
