Handling at Las Vegas (KLAS)
We handle overflight permits, slots, flight plans, fuel, customs and the turnaround at Harry Reid International. One coordinator owns the stop at Las Vegas, from the first filing to wheels up.

The field
What KLAS is actually like
Las Vegas handles an enormous volume of business aviation concentrated into a handful of event weeks. Outside those weeks it is straightforward; inside them it is one of the most constrained fields in North America.
Operating brief
What we handle before you file
Permits
No permit for domestic movements. International arrivals file eAPIS and clear at Harry Reid, which handles it without fuss.
Slots and parking
No standing slot control, but during major events the airport runs parking reservation programmes and general aviation restrictions that function as slots in everything but name. A trip planned into an event week without a reservation is not a trip.
Customs and border
Customs is on site with real capacity for international arrivals, and outside the event weeks it is quick. Inside them, everything on this airport queues.
When it gets tight
CES in January and the Formula One weekend in November are the two that close the field to unreserved traffic. Any Super Bowl hosted here does the same, and major fight weekends compress demand into forty-eight hours.
On the ground
Off the aircraft and into the car
FBOs sit on the west side of the field, ten minutes from the Strip when the city is normal. During CES or a race weekend nothing about that sentence holds, and the ground transport queue outlasts the customs queue.
Alternates
Where we go when KLAS will not take the trip
Every one of these is a field we would put to you with the reason attached, not a list of nearby runways.
- KVGT
North Las Vegas
The general aviation reliever, and the standard overflow field during events, though it takes smaller aircraft.
- KHND
Henderson Executive
South of the strip, business aviation focused, and often the better answer even outside event weeks.
- KSGU
St George Regional
Ninety minutes away in Utah, and a realistic repositioning base when Las Vegas has no parking at all.
